Photograph of a woman demonstrating the proper method for extinguishing a campfire in Columbia National Forest, Washington, ca.1930. In the center, a woman can be seen bending over holding a can with water which reads "Coffee" and pouring it onto a campfire. She is also holding a wooden stick with the other hand. The fire site is surrounded by large rocks and sitting on a dry surface with no vegetation. On the right, an ax is seen nailed on a piece of wood. Further in the back, a stream is visible along thick vegetation. The background is filled with trees.
