Date: 1958-04-07. Reporter: Soc. Assignment: Social Service Auxiliary. 75/11: Printed for daily. Supplementary material reads: " Photo assignment for Monday April 7 at 7 p.m., Rush wet negs to Lynn Spencer. Pls go to Escoffier Room, Beverly Hilton Hotel, get shots of 23 girls being presented at Social Service Auxiliary ball. See Mrs. McClure. There are 28 girls in all, but we have used five, Carolyn Breslin, Joan Jensen, Antoinette Morrell, Melinda Johnson and Michele McGarry. They are not to be repeated. Shot is for six cols. So that figures are as large as possible, stack the twenty-five girls on levels, three to four, keep as close together as possible. Make several to be sure. Rush wet negs to Lynn Spencer for earliest possile [sic] edition. Thanks, Carter Ludlow". Examiner clipping reads: "Twenty one pretty debutates. At last night's first annual Presentation Ball at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, 28 lovely daughters of prominent Southland families were presented to His Eminence James Francis Cardinal McIntyre. Above are 21 of the girls, first row, left to right, Carol Barbara Dore, Pamela Booth, Brenda Ann Dockweiler, Mary Josephine Bonner, Sheila Mary O'Brian, Sara Josephine Doud second row, Mary Patricia Ball, Barbara Ann Scoles, Cynthia Sue Wood, Susan Marie Bradley, Domini Clare Collins, Juliette Frances McGrew, Barbara Louise O'Connor, Sheila Margaret Hart back row, Carole Jane Cosgrove, Patricia Ann Molony, Eleanor Jo Bollinger, Dorothy Elise Bonesteel, Jacqueline Lou Tegland, Angela Luise Scellars, Linda Robert Hope. More than 600 attended the event sponsored by the Social Service Auxiliary".
