Used in the Exhibit: Play by Play - A Century of L.A. Sports Photography, 1889-1989 Before World War II, Charles Iwamoto was a top sumo wrestler. After the war, he became "Mr. Moto," one of several Japanese-American "villains" on the post-World War II circuit. In the ring, Mr. Moto was accompanied by a valet named "Fuji."
