Description
Photograph caption dated June 1, 1956 reads "Joe Fleck, retired San Fernando Valley barber, isn't exaggerating a bit as he measures off the length of the fish which he caught, a 52-pound catfish bagged on the lucky fisherman's annual return to Native Missouri. He caught the monster on his 10th fishing trip to the St. Frances River in Southern Missouri. The 'gold' he used for bait was a goldfish."
