Description
Postcard captioned: "A Glimpse of Redwood Lodge, Mill Valley, Cal." Redwood Lodge was and still is an estate on Corte Madera Avenue in Blithedale Canyon near what was then the Blithedale Hotel. The owner at the time dammed Corte Madera Creek to create the pond pictured. Card was mailed to "Mrs. J. Summers, 1355A Stevenson, San Francisco, California" with the message "Mill Valley, July 31, 1912, Dear Annie. We are here in the redwoods for a few weeks. Are dead tired. Expect to ge home Aug 5th. Do want to see you so badly. Lovingly Ina." Published by "M. Rieder, Publ., Los Angeles, Cal. No.5105. Made in Germany." Description provided by Phil Rhodes.
