Bishop, California ranchers releasing water from the Alabama Gates of the Los Angeles Aqueduct. This photograph may have been taken during the initial stages of the occupation since the water is flowing strongly. Photographer's inscription at lower right corner: "Flowing Gold. L. A. Aqueduct." At lower right corner is recorded name of photographer: "Detrick Bishop, California." Title supplied by cataloger.
