The photographer's signature is in the bottom right corner but is difficult to read. This image is featured in the program for the Boys Brotherhood Republic Alumni Association Second Annual Dance (March, 1938), as well as the 1938 brochure, "Life of the Boys' Brotherhood Republic," with the caption "The first alumnus chosen for the difficult job of forming a new B.B.R. In 1932 he started the New York Boys' Brotherhood Republic, which he is now supervising. Slonaker is a former mayor of the B.B.R. in Chicago."
