Description
Negative shows a large crowd of men and women walking towards the starting line for the y-Walk in 1986. They are leaving from a parking lot and a few of the people are carrying balloons. There is one little girl visible in the crowd. On verso of duplicate photograph: ""They're off..." YWCA Walk 1986." On envelope 1986 Y-Walk. On the large envelope holding the smaller envelope used to hold the negatives: "Name: Brock, Trish. Date: 12/2-. Phone: 295-4011. "Executive Director Faith Rein (the top job had been renamed again) and President Sarah Janigian launched two annual events that heaped public attention on the association: the Y-Walk downtown in 1984, in which volunteers enlisted sponsors to raise money for YWCA programs; and TWIN, Tribute to Women and Industry, in 1985."
