Photograph caption dated February 10, 1954 reads "Mrs. Harry Sherwood, president of United Hostesses, presents $1,000 check to David and Jerry Churchill to aid in fight against dreaded blood disease--hemophilia. Both boys are hemophilia victims under care of the Southern California Chapter of the Hemophilia Foundation."
