Description
A young woman and a young man out for a rabbit hunt. . The man wears tan trousers protected by brown gaiters with many small buckles. He wears a double-breasted forest green jacket with a belt around his waist. The coat has a stiff high collar and slightly puffed shoulders. His hat has a rounded gray crown with a shallow black brim and has a small bow, which might mean that the black section is a covering tied over the hat. His shotgun is slung over his back with a strap, and the powder for his gun rests at his hip in a small pouch at the end of another shoulder strap. A live rabbit leaps out of a green net bag trimmed with fringe, which is sitting on the ground behind the gentleman. The woman wears a light green ankle-length dress with an overall floral pattern. Large red zigzags trim the sides of the center front panel of the skirt and also around the hem at about knee height. Her dress has a wide drop-shouldered neckline trimmed with scalloped white lace. The bodice has pleated lines forming a v at the front with a narrow band across the center front and at the shoulders. Large pointed flounces with lace trimming over lay the tops of the gigot sleeves, both trimmed with red banding. The young woman's bonnet has a wide brim and is trimmed with flowers, greenery, and green and white striped ribbons. The hat covers a white ruffled cap. She wears white gloves, white stockings, and flat slippers with ribbon tied in the style of ballet slippers. She carries a white parasol with green stripes and red spotted banding.
