He is joined by Dr. Robert Brandon, left, Burbank's mayor, and David Grubbs, community chairman, in announcing the fund appeal which begins Jan. 2. Steven was born with a spinal defect which caused paralysis from the waist down and dislocation of the hips. He has undergone surgery and is now learning how to walk. The National Foundation drive is aiding research in the fields of polio, birth defects and arthritis."
