Description: The First Baptist Church sat at the corner of Second and San Antonio Streets (now Paseo de San Antonio pedestrian walkway)" The church opened in 1883 and survived the1906 earthquake with little damage. After the congregation moved to a new church in 1970, the old church was scheduled for demolition but burned down before demolition could begin.
