Shows hotel and other buildings, horseman leading string of camels, horse-drawn carriage, stump of Discovery Tree and dance pavilion, fenced area includes fountain and several deer, wagons, cattle. 2010-3784. Discovered in 1852 by Augustus T. Dowd, area became a state park in 1931 - Calaveras Big Trees State Park.
