Photograph of Monte Vista School visitors, ca.1911. Four visitors to the Monte Vista School can be seen standing near open double doors: John Frances, Superintendent of Schools in 1911 Edwin Markham, poet Susan M. Dorsey, Superintendent later in 1924 and M.C. Bettinger, Acting Superintendent in 1911. The visitors are shown with principal Miss Mary Murphy, who can be seen standing near the double doors. All the gentemen shown wear suit jackets and slacks. The women wear long skirts with buttoned blouses, and the woman at right wears a decorative hat. Three matts can be seen placed along the floor.
