Description
"Akpap Quarters". Image of Mary Slessor and a group of villagers gathered outside her living Quarters in the village of Akpap. The house is windowless with mud walls and a thatched roof. A basket of babies can be seen beside Mary Slessor.
Akpap Village in Calabar was home to Mary Slessor, the Scottish Missionary, for a number of years. She lived in this basic accommodation until a house was built for her.
