Description
This 1968 postcard provides a view of the main entrance to the Governor's Mansion with the following description printed on the back, "Built in 1877, the mansion truly represents the early California era. It housed all of California's Governors and their families from 1903 to 1966." The structure was originally built for local hardware magnate Albert Gallatin.
