Photograph caption dated August 17, 1937 reads, "Pressing her suit to recover $48,750 from her mother, Mrs. Margaret Fillmore is shown in court today listening to testimony of her mother, Mrs. Charlotte Shelby. It was brought out that $20,000 of the amount Mrs. Fillmore seeks was part of the settlement paid the family by a brokerage house." Fillmore is Mary Miles Minter's sister.
