Description
Photograph of an exterior view of the Bixby Ranch home near Long Beach, May 28, 1926. The long, two-story building is at center. Its walls are made of adobe and wooden beams support the overhang of the roof. A covered porch and balcony run along the entire front of the building. Vines can be seen growing up the side of the building. Three children are standing near a pole at right. The front yard is sparsely covered with small weeds, and a garden hose can be seen in the dirt at left. A eucalyptus tree is visible in the foreground at right. The adobe was about one hundred years old at the time of this photograph.
