Photograph was edited for publication purposes Pat Walker owned and operated salons in several locations, including Hawaii. Her salons popular for using the 'Stauffer System,' were also known as Pat Walker's Figure Perfection, Int'l. Photograph article dated May 13, 1963 partially reads, "'Today a woman can buy a new figure,' says Pat Walker, 'so there's no excuse for bulging waistlines or flabby thighs.' Pat has recently opened a luxurious Valley salon, the Pat Walker Stauffer System, at 7256 Reseda Blvd., Reseda...Each Stauffer table has moving parts that passively exercise a certain area...Pat points out that you do not have to do strenuous exercises to lose inches. 'We are not muscle builders,' she says. 'We tone tissue and firm flesh. The woman exerts no energy at all. She simple [sic] relaxes while the table does the work for her."
