Description
An old man is inspecting nine bags of beans that are being used as protection for a civil defense sentry post in the town of Alegría. The old man is wearing a cap and holding a cane. The writing on the bags read "U.S.A.," which indicate that they were provided as part of a USAID effort. During the month of February the town of Alegría was held alternatively by the guerrillas and the Salvadoran Army.
