Photograph caption dated February 12, 1960 reads, "It took two native bearers and one small boy to tote this king-size check issued by Tarzana Chamber of Commerce to Bob Crane, right, dollar-a-year second term honorary mayor of community, when he cashed it at Bank of America branch next door to KNX studios where he is a radio station morning host. Crane left bank unaided after he received $1 cash in return from manager George P. Staff, left."
