Description: Invitation to a "Hard Times Social" given by the Epworth League at the Hall on Capital Avenue in the Berryessa region of San Jose on February 2, 1894. The invitation contains intentional humorous misspellings. Handwritten in pencil on one side is the date January 28, 1894.
