Description
Connie and Aaron begin the interview discussing Josef Schwammberger’s deeds during the Nazi era of persecution, his trial, and what Schwammberger’s response represents to historical memory. They proceed to talk about Schwammberger’s easy escape from French prison, his work in Italy, and his later settlement in Argentina for forty years after his deeds during World War II, before discussing the specific towns, or ghettoes, to which Schwammberger was assigned during his years as a Nazi. Connie and Aaron move on to talk about various types of denial, and how Nazi Germany was built on denial and manipulation by those in power. Connie closes the interview requesting an autograph for her copy of the book.
