Description
Johnny Grant was born on May 9, 1923. He was an American radio personality and television producer who also served as honorary mayor of Hollywood from 1980-2008. As honorary mayor, he was often present at Hollywood community functions, including the unveiling of new stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. An intersection just north of Hollywood Boulevard and Highland Avenue is designated "Johnny Grant Way." Grant was perhaps best known for having hosted the more than 500 celebrities he inducted into the Hollywood Walk of Fame with stars in the sidewalk. He died on January 9, 2008.; The airport has been United Airport (1930-1934), Union Air Terminal (1934-1940), Lockheed Air Terminal (1940-1967), Hollywood-Burbank Airport (1967-1978), Burbank-Glendale-Pasadena Airport (1978-2003) and most recently Bob Hope Airport (2003-present).; Ernestine Jane Geraldine Russell was born on June 21, 1921. She was an American film actress, and one of Hollywood's leading sex symbols in the 1940s and 1950s. She died on February 28, 2011.
