Photograph caption dated May 1, 1965 reads "Taft High's Lee Shalon is shown taking Granada Hills' Norm Taylor by a stride in the third heat of the 100-yard dash yesterday at Reseda High in the West Valley League track and field preliminaries. Shalon was clocked in 10.4 and he also won his heat of the 220 to qualify for next Friday's finals at Reseda. Taft qualified a total of 18 runners for the finals."
