Description
Bradford Morrow discusses his novel, “Giovanni’s Gift.” He begins by explaining that the book is based on a real experience of a stalker harassing his aunt and uncle. He came out to visit them and while he was spending some time trying to catch the stalker, the idea for the book came to him. He describes how the front cover of the book was a cigar box that his aunt gave him as a gift, and he uses the objects he found in the box throughout his novel. Morrow talks about how he wanted to mix genres and give his story elements of murder mystery, classical mythology, and romance. He ends the interview by discussing the next novel he is working on and the challenges of setting a novel in an urban environment after writing about country life.
