Photograph was originally mounted in Vol. 2 of Appraisal report : Bunker Hill (333.01 A6525-2). Looking north across the intersection of W. First Street (running from middle left to lower right) and N. Grand Avenue towards an apartment building, located at 601-603 W. First Street, with Grand Grocery occupying the ground floor; on the far left is the Queen Anne Revival style apartment house at 609-611. Directly to the right of the market is the New Grand Cleaners on the ground floor of the Grand Central Hotel at 103-107 N. Grand Avenue and another apartment building with the addresses of 109, 109 1/2, 111, and 111 1/2. All of these structures have been demolished.
