The man on the left wears a tranluscent yellow shirt and places his hand on top of the head of the child. The woman stands slightly in the back, with her arm strecthed across the entrance. She wears a dark violet colored dress, necklace and smiles at the camera. The soldier is a member of the Nicaraguan Democratic Force (FDN in Spanish), whose members are informally known as "Contras." Un soldado de la contra con un uniforme azul marino sostiene su rifle y se para en la entrada de una casa con un hombre, una mujer y un niño. El hombre de la izquierda lleva una camisa amarilla tranlúcida y coloca su mano sobre la cabeza del niño. La mujer se encuentra ligeramente en la parte de atrás, con el brazo estirado a través de la entrada. Ella lleva un vestido de color violeta oscuro, collar y sonríe a la cámara.
