Photograph was edited for publication purposes Photograph article dated August 31, 1960 partially reads "Kimball was responsible for the band's first appearance in 1948 when the musicians donned fireman's gear for a horseless carriage parade. 'We liked the costumes, so they stayed and then we chose our name to fit,' Kimball points out. He adds that 'firehouse five' sounded more melodious than 'firehouse seven' so 'plus two' was added to the title." Kimball is seen in the photograph in a humorous pose, to promote their appearance at the Firefighters Ball in Burbank held on September 9, 1961.
