"Lobo", coal black police dog, is mourned by his four young owners, the children of Police Chief James E. Davis, who are pictured with the dog in days before the tragedy. The children now make regular pilgrimages to the pet memorial park where he rests. The children are, left to right, Edgar, 12; Charles, 2; Ralph, 11; and June, 7.
