In PHOTO ALBUM-VAULT: ** fc917.9461 A3, Vol. I, page 190 bottom.
This photograph is contained in one of two volumes by Dobbin titled "Album of San Francisco."
Text written under photo: "3rd 'The Chutes' Fillmore, Turk, Webster & Eddy Sts. destroyed by fire. Original Chutes located on Haight St bet. Clayton & Cole. 2nd location 12th Ave & Fulton. See page 329." View shows the Chutes amusement park at the northeast corner of Turk and Fillmore, right after it had been gutted by fire. The Aero Bar, with numerous Acme Beer signs, is at the corner. The entrance to the Star Theater is around the corner on Turk. A sign halfway up the block on Fillmore advertises the "Chutes Zoo." The fire appears to have barely touched the roller coaster. A policeman stands in the intersection.
