Description
Gardena Library, circa 1964. This newly county-constructed building was dedicated and opened for service in 1964. Building occupies a 25,00 square feet tract of land donated by the City. It has a service area of 14,000 square feet., and in addition a glassed-in interior court Japanese garden donated by the Gardena Valley Gardeners' Association. The floor plan includes an assembly room, young adult study area, children's section, office, and work staff rooms.
