Description: A view of the Japanese garden after a rare southern California snowfall. The image was taken facing west, with the Drum Bridge on the left and a thatched hut on the right. MS note on verso reads "Jan 11, 1949 ; Oriental garden" (with 1949 corrected to 1948) and "Return to Huntington Library ; Carey Bliss". Date should read January 11, 1949.
