Photograph caption dated May 14, 1957 reads "Col. Douglas Murrott, commander of California Rangers, inspects Post 3 at Millericks Circle D stables in Sylmar. During ceremony, in which 60 Valley youngsters took part, members of post received large American flag an uniforms. Stable on Bob Symonds ranch was designated headquarters of post." California Rangers drill weekly to train for participation in local parades and other events.
