Photograph caption dated June 14, 1947 reads, "The arrow points to a wall of the home of Terry Etherton, 22, at 1657 West Thirty-eighth street, which was torn open by a gas explosion that rocked the entire district. Etherton was rushed to the hospital with sever burns."
