Description
Originally named Boulder Dam, it was renamed Hoover Dam in 1946. The Colorado River is seen on the Nevada side of the future dam site. A faint line in the rock indicates a high water mark. The river had a depth of 50 feet here. Photo taken in the 1920's or 30's.
