Description
Photograph article dated December 21, 1949 partially reads, "Policemen George J. Sabol and Alexander A. Davidson dashed from their squadcar one night right into a robbery case filled with gunplay. The two young officers, both from the Valley Division, were cruising slowly down San Fernando Rd. in Sun Valley when they saw four victims being robbed at gunpoint. Davidson hastily parked the police car and Sabol, gun drawn, ran to the scene. Meanwhile one of the robber’s victims ran up to the officers, telling of the incident loud enough to forewarn the bandits. Sabol, hardly pausing to listen, called for the culprits to drop their guns and surrender. Instead the thieves began to run." Pictured is Officer G. J. Sabol.; See image #00134075 for additional photo in this series.
