Images were chosen from family albums and include daily life, social organizations, work, personal and holiday celebrations, and migration and immigration activities. The donor's parents came individualy to Los Angeles from Thailand in 1967 to study in college, where they met and married. The donor's father came to stay with an uncle who lived in Southern California while her mother came on a scholarship with the company she worked for in Thailand. The donor's parents first lived in Hollywood above Franklin Avenue on Chula Vista Way. Later, the family lived in Hancock Park, Pacific Palisades, and finally Marina del Rey.
A graduate of the University of Southern California is shown with her diploma just before a party at her family's Thai restaurant.
