Description
"Tänzer bei der Beschneidungsfeier bei ihrer Hütte/ Grashütte der Jünglinge" ("Dancers at the circumcision ceremony next to their hut/ grass hut of the younglings"). Three dancers are wearing special dresses and headdresses (or masks), standing next to their hut. On the right side some other men are standing and sitting, wrapped in dark blankets. The surrounding is marked by hills.
An initiation costume like those in the photograph is part of the collection of the "Völkerkundemuseum Herrnhut".
