Photograph of a view of the Los Angeles Plaza, ca.1890. The plaza is landscaped into a round shape with a fountain in the center. The Olvera adobe is partially visible on the left, the Lugo House (with dormer windows) faces the plaza from the east and the L.A. City Water Co. building can be seen in the backgound. Small houses dominate the principally rural setting in the background. A small group of pedestrians are on the sidewalk around the Plaza. Legible signs include: "L.A. City Water Co.", ..."Chinese & Japanese fancy goods Employment office".
