Peter Drucker wrote this letter to Mel Hurni to discuss more possible solutions to the problems discussed in a meeting the previous week. The conclusions he lists include constantly working to improve the competence of the workers involved, compromising and rationing the time and effort of the small stuff on the many projects, and creating monthly seminars for employees in all departments. Drucker also stresses the importance of developing O.R. (operations research) into O.R. & S. (operations research and synthesis) and clearly explaining the difference between them to the people in the field. This letter contains handwritten notes in the margins and Drucker's full original signature.
