Photograph was edited for publication purposes Photograph article dated August 24, 1964 partially reads, "One rainy day in 1958, Ruth Runyon, out of money and looking for a job, walked into a Burbank automobile agency to wait out a shower. By the time it stopped raining she had so impressed the dealer with her 'gift of gab' that he offered her a job, although she had never before sold anything and knew nothing about automobiles. Today, Ruth is one of the top sales persons in her field, working at Phil Rauch Chrysler-Plymouth in North Hollywood. In 1960 she won the Chrysler silver and gold awards for selling over 100 new cars. This year, she already has sold more than 40 new autos." Photograph caption reads, "Making a sale - Using her low-pressure sale technique, grandmother Ruth Runyon shows fine points of a Plymouth Barracuda to talent agent Don Rogers. The crack Phil Rauch agency saleslady sold Rogers a 1965 vehicle."
