Photograph of Standard Oil Company Well Number 8-1-P in Kettleman Hills, March 31, 1931. There are lead lines, gas traps and gathering tanks visible. Two large cylindrical tanks are at the center of the image. On the right are several pipes and valves, and on the left are upright cylinders connected to pipes that lead into the ground. All of the tanks and pipes reflect the sunlight. There are utility wires across the top of the image. In the background there are hills.
