Photograph caption dated January 28, 1958 reads "Open new Red Cross headquarters in Van Nuys. Modern building houses new headquarters of San Fernando Valley branch of Los Angeles chapter of American Red Cross at 14717 Sherman Way, Van Nuys. Headquarters formerly were in converted residence nearby. New 14,000 square foot facility was constructed by Kersey Kinsey Company of Studio City. It was financed by legacies and bequests made to Red Cross. Building is center of executive department of branch as well as for home service, mobile blood collection units and classes in nursing care, first aid and water safety."; See images #00146824 through #00146829 for all photos in this series.
