Photograph caption dated January 1, 1960 reads "Turning back pages of history, Chicago entry in Rose Parade shows Mrs. O'Leary's cow, barn, milk-pail and over-turned lantern responsible for tragic fire in 1871. Scene is surrounded by animated flame and actual smoke. To rear is typical pumper fire engine pulled by three mechanical white horses.
