Newhall, named after businessman Henry Newhall, is the southernmost and oldest district of Santa Clarita. Prior to the 1987 consolidation into the city of Santa Clarita, it was an unincorporated town.
Photograph caption dated April 26, 1962 reads "Jim Charles lands after jolting ride; friend diverts bull, lower right." The event was the 36th Annual Newhall-Saugus Rodeo in Newhall, California.; See images #00119845 through #0011849 for all photos in this series.
