View 1 (2008-0858). "Aug 4 1929 - LA municipal plunge pool." Shows main building and the pergola built on either side. Pool in front of building filled with bathers -- view 2 (2008-0859). Shows lawn, trees, end of building, and variety of people walking and sitting on benches. "Municipal plunge/LA Aug 8 1929, zepplin suppose to be in center of photo" -- handwritten on back.
Photographs taken by Orville T. Blake (1620 40th Ave., Oakland, Calif.). His parents were Reo Blake Goble and Vern Goble, brothers were Marvin and George Blake. Parents and brothers show up in some of the photographs, where the family was vacationing.
