Description
Photograph shows a rectangular building with stone steps, many windows, and doors with full length windows and muntins in them. There are two signs on easels on either side of the steps and the building is in a forested area. It is probably located at the YWCA's Camp Ayun Mapu in Big Basin, California.
The YWCA's Camp Ayun Mapu at Big Basin near Boulder Creek attracted about 150 girls for two week sessions in the summer. From Fran Smith, "Breaking Ground:The Daring Women of the YWCA in the Santa Clara Valley, 1905-2005," (2005), p. 51. Big Basin became a state park in 1902.
