On hand for occassion were Haskell L. Damron, Everett T. Carpenter, North Hollywood Postmaster; Congressman Edgar W. Hiestand and Verna Felton, honorary mayor of North Hollywood. Carpenter told large crowd that new facility climaxed six years of effort to bring additional service to Valley Plaza."
