Description
Taken in 1937, this photograh shows the southern entrance to Sutter's Fort. Flanked on either side of fan palms, the entramce is also guarded by a single canon. The gate sign reads "1839 Sutter's Fort." A California State Park since 1947, the fort is located at Twenty-Seventh and L Streets.
